Distribution

Please know that distribution does not automatically guarantee CDs in every store in the country.

What it does mean is that our artists’ CDs will be in retail store databases so that a person can go to any store and order the CD. This includes Barnes & Noble, Borders and other major chains as well as in major independent jazz stores like J&R in NYC and in the databases of major on-line music sellers.

Blujazz’s distributor is also associated with the major US One-stops Alliance & Baker. As we promote our artists’ CDs and demand for them grows, retail outlets can start ordering titles for their in-store bins. This has become increasingly important as “brick-and-mortar” stores face increased competition from internet shoppers. Our distributor is consistently selling BluJazz Artists.

BluJazz also passes along to artists opportunities from our distributor to increase in-store visibility by “buying” retail space (e.g. listening stations, end caps, etc.) to stimulate increased sales.

If an artist’s CD is already totally manufactured, BluJazz will sticker the CD with the above if Blujazz distributes.
